Since Caleb's mom was a fingernail specialist, he started painting them greatly influenced by her.

Born on November 18, 2002, William plays quarterback for the USC Trojans. Before transferring to USC Trojans in 2022, he played for Oklahoma Sooners in 2021.

Named the Elite 11 finals MVP in 2020, Caleb started his freshman season at the University of Oklahoma. He was named the official team captain on August 31 after being announced as the starter on August 25.

Now becoming part of his signature look, Williams and his painted fingernails were in the spotlight when he started playing as a quarterback for Oklahoma Sooners in 2021.

Two days before World Mental Health Day, William was spotted with his nails painted the number '988' to reflect the Crisis Lifeline's phone number.

Williams' 'Horns Down' was one of the most critical messages where he trolled Texas after he beat them in his first collegiate appearance.

How Caleb Started Painting Fingernails

Caleb Williams started painting his fingernails after truly being influenced by his mom. Williams' mom is a nail technician.

In an interview, William stated that his mom had started painting nails at the early age of 14 and after the player was born to her, she used to paint on his nails too. 

Caleb also was influenced by well-known artists like rappers A$AP Rocky and Lil Yachty after they did the nail paints too.

Although it seems untraditional, the American footballer is quite comfortable and doesn't really care about others' opinions when comes to painting his nails.

William via an Interview stated, "I feel like everyone should express themselves however they choose. If me painting my nails while playing football helps some people feel more confident in expressing themselves then great".

Affiliation With The Nail Grooming Company 'Faculty'

The fingernail paints with unique messages shown through them have led USC Trojans Caleb Williams to affiliate with the modern grooming brand 'Faculty.'

As per Bleacher Report, the brand officially announced Williams as the part-owner after receiving an investment from him.

The 20-year-old athlete is the brand ambassador and is set to be featured in collaborations, campaigns, and revenue partnerships of the following brand.

The brand Faculty' was cofounded by Umar Elbably in 2019. It sells accessories for men, along with some nail stickers and shades of nail polishes.
